Summer Art Camps and Classes 2008

Live Demonstration of Black Light Chalk Art or Live Painting for Schools, Bands, Youth Groups, Churches etc

$500 for Live Demonstration of Black Light Chalk Art  This program is a live 20 minute drawing completed in front of an audience.  The picture is usually of a mountain or beach scene and music accompanies the demonstration.  At the end the lights are turned off and a special black light is turned on revealing a picture of Christ or a hidden message.  This is a very powerful evangelistic tool used by many churches and is the most popular of all the programs I offer. Alternately, you can choose a Live Demonstration  of  Abstract Art to a band or worship music.  This program can be 15 minutes to 1 hour and is fun to watch.  The audience won't guess the subject until the painting is flipped over at the end to reveal a picture.Call Gretchen Smith at 270-243-0444 for more information or e-mail tallartist@hotmail.com.

Guided Murals for Schools, Community Groups, etc

Invite the artist to come to your school to work with students on a mural.  Grants are available through the Kentucky Arts Council, Teacher Initiated Program at http://artscouncil.ky.gov/guide/prog6/tip_guid.htm . 

Fee averages $2500/mural for indoor murals and $3500 for outdoor murals and includes all instruction and materials.  Previous clients include Pride Elementary, Reidland Elementary, Concord Elementary, Heath Middle School. Please e-mail tallartist@hotmail.com for a complete price list for murals.

Guided Tours of Lowertown Arts District with Live Demonstration

Don't know how to "do" lowertown? Well, get a group of friends or classmates together and let me lead the way.  You will enjoy a live demonstration and visit at least 4 galleries where you will get a behind the scenes peak. Learn about the architecture and history of lowertown on this enjoyable walking tour.  Accomodations for out of town visitors can easily be arranged.  The registration fee is $50.00 plus a tour fee of  $10.00 per person up to 20 people, $8.00 per person for 21 - 40 people, or $5.00 per person for 41 or more people. Private Lessons and Semi-Private Lessons

$20/hour for private lessons (1 person)

$15/hour/person for semi-private lessons (2-5 people)

$10/hour/person for small group lessons (6-20 people)

$5/hour/person for large group lessons  (21+ people)

Art Parties

Invite the artist to come to your places, the artist will lead  hands on activity, paint faces, and lead kids in a super fun art activity. Great for birthday parties, back to school parties, etc. There is a $50.00 registration fee plus $10.00 per child up to 20 children, $8.00 per child for 21 - 40 children, or $5.00 per child for 41 or more children.
